This skill searches apple developer documentation and framework symbols, resolves inheritance and protocol conformances, checks platform and version compatibility, suggests apple's recommended alternatives, and searches wwdc session transcripts across a fixed year range. Its only dependency is a javascript runtime. The limitations are those of any documentation lookup. It returns reference material and session transcripts rather than working code, so translation into a project still falls to the developer. Its video coverage stops at a dated range, so guidance for newer frameworks may be missing, and answers should be checked against current platform documentation.

Apple Docs puts the developer documentation library behind a handful of commands. It covers framework symbols, availability, sample projects, and conference session recordings, so a reference lookup does not require leaving the terminal or opening a browser. ## What it does - Searches documentation by concept and searches framework symbols by name. - Reports inheritance and protocol conformance for a type, and checks platform and version availability. - Suggests the alternatives Apple recommends instead of a given type. - Browses technology categories, sample projects, and overview guides. - Searches conference session videos across a range of years and returns transcripts with resources. ## When it is the wrong choice It is a lookup tool, not a tutorial. It answers what a symbol is and when it is available, and it will not replace reading a guide end to end when learning a new framework.
