Searches a curated catalogue of a few dozen artificial intelligence tools by keyword or category, and filters results down to freely available options or lists everything at once. Categories cover the usual areas: video, image, writing, code, chat, audio, social, productivity, research and marketing, and each result shows a short description and a pricing flag. The catalogue is a static data file shipped with the package, which is the central limitation, since entries reflect whatever was current when the list was last updated and pricing can drift. It reports links rather than evaluating anything.

Browsing a curated index of ai tools
Meow Finder is a small command line index of curated ai tools that can be searched by keyword or browsed by category, with a filter for free options. It is a discovery aid: the output is a list of tools and what they cost, not an integration with any of them. ## What it does - Installs globally through the node package manager, or can be linked from a clone. - Searches the index with a keyword phrase. - Browses by category such as video, image, writing, code, chat, audio, social, productivity, research or marketing. - Filters to free tools, optionally combined with a keyword. - Lists every tool, or lists only the available categories. ## When it is the wrong choice The index is a fixed file of around forty tools, so its freshness depends on someone updating that file and it will not surface anything released recently. It also describes tools rather than connecting to them, so it is no use for actually running something. The category set is fixed, which means a tool that spans two categories is only found by whichever one it was filed under. It reports what a tool is for and what it costs, not whether it is any good, so the quality judgement stays with you.
