Tag Runs So Spend Has an Owner

A month of agent spend arrives as one number, and a single number gives no one anything to act on because it cannot be split between the workflow that grew, the tenant that got expensive and the retry loop nobody noticed. This skill covers cost attribution: put a stable tag on every run naming the workflow, the tenant and the trigger, carry that tag through every tool call and message the run makes, report spend per tag together with the run count so an average is visible, give each tag a budget, and alert on the one that is out of line rather than on the total.

Commands

$ openclaw command add --name "spend by tag" --trigger "/spend" --source "AWS Production" --message "Report spend for the last week grouped by workflow and tenant tag, with the run count and the average spend per run for each group."
$ openclaw alert-rule add --name "Tag Over Budget" --group-by "tag" --window "24h" --action "Alert when a workflow or tenant tag passes its budget for the day, and include the average spend per run so a price change can be told apart from a volume change"
$ openclaw auto-fix add --name "Pause Expensive Tag" --condition "tag_spend_today > tag_budget * 1.5" --action "Pause new runs for that tag, keep in-flight runs going, and record the per run average so the cause can be reviewed before it is resumed" --approval "manual" --notify "#ops-alerts" --max-runs "3 per day" --cooldown "1h"
$ openclaw runbook add --name "Investigate a Spend Spike" --trigger "/runbook spend" --tags "automation, cost" --steps "Read the spend per tag. Compare the run count with the average spend per run. If the count rose the workload grew. If the average rose the work itself got dearer. Fix the one that actually moved."
