Read Back What the Run Just Wrote

A step writes a record, the write is acknowledged, and the next step reads the same record through a different path and finds the old value, because a cache, a read replica or a search index has not caught up. This skill covers the read-back check: after a write that later steps depend on, read the value back through the same path the next step will use, confirm it is present and current, and when it is not, wait and re-read rather than continuing on a stale value.

Read Back What the Run Just Wrote

# Read the value back through the path the next step will use A step writes a record, the write is confirmed, and the very next step reads the same record and finds the old value. Nothing errored. The cause is that the write landed in one path and the read was served by another, a cache, a read rep
